Therefore, I say candidly to the various devs that monitor these threads, please listen carefully to the feedback provided by experienced players and ensure that whatever system you end up implementing gives players a fair deal. If that is not the case and I end up with an inferior LI, then you're taking something away from a customer. Any change implemented by SSG has to ensure that my new LI is of equal quality to the original, after the respective conversion process. Simply put, I have invested time and money into my LI. However, I am also a customer and I am paying for a service.
I enjoy LOTRO despite its flaws and have invested over a decade of my leisure time and money into this game. The average LOTRO player is going to be flummoxed by all of this and that really isn't something that you want to do.

I again had to ask my more experienced peers how to rebuild my LI.

Plus the new system is just as arcane as the previous. My stats were demonstrably lacking after I applied all the respective baubles and trinkets to a new LI. It assess your existing LI and gives you what it thinks is commensurate components. Well it would appear that the conversion process currently on Bullroarer does just that.
However, I realised that it was more likely that we'd have to run through a conversion process that gave you comparable constituent parts. Ideally it would be like trading in one car for another. I hoped that the new LI system was simple and that if you have an existing maxed out LI, you get a comparable replacement. So my expectations have been straight forward and reasonable. I like the concept of having a weapon at level 50 and it growing with you. When I learned there was to be a revision of the LI system to make it less arcane and simpler, I was pleased. I have never really understood the existing LI system but with the help and guidance of my kin I have managed to max out my staff. But I do have a max level Lore-master that I have consistently played for 13 year. I seldom post on these forums but I felt compelled to do so after logging into Bullroarer this evening and trying the new LI system. We actually plan to change the word since "conversion" isn't really correct.
No, you will still be able to equip and use your old Legendary Items after you convert them. There's progress, hopefully enough given only 2 weeks left. I think there was one 14 that showed up from somewhere. Are item XP's even still being rewarded? While quick leveling my brawler, I saw that some enhancement boxes drop as rewards when I did Bobo's Many More quest, so it appears that these are rewards for various quests/deeds completed therein. I also noticed that I could not equip a new, re-forged LI until I removed an old LI from its equipped slot, so the no hybrid rule is still in effect.Īre there plans to switch the Gift-Brand LI's to the new versions (eventually)? What about all those old LI's I've collected to act as iXP batteries? Since the legacy runes are still dropping (while testing the brawler on her War-steed), atm, I could level them up for conversion to more ancient scripts, enhancement runes and traceries but if we can't reforge them, what's the point? It's bad enough that I have to pay to identify them and then have to level them in order to prepare them for conversion. Is there an over-cap buffer on the Ancient scripts received? I was up to 12k and change.
Now, are the "converted" items supposed to disappear after the process is finished? The items I was able to convert remained exactly as is after I received the new materials.
